VANCOUVER, BC / LOS ANGELES, CA – 21 April 2015 – LABioMed and the California Pacific Medical Center has engaged Libre Communications to once again live broadcast an event which will showcase the demonstration of medical procedures and advanced endoscopic techniques. This event will be live streamed on the internet and will demonstrate CPMC’s  success in effectively broadcasting medical procedures to students and practicing physicians globally.

According to the California Pacific Medical Center, which will host the event and Dr Viktor Eysselein, the doctor who chairs this symposium, internet streaming technology has finally advanced sufficiently to make close-up operation demonstrations via the internet a valuable educational tool. According to Dr. Eysselien, “After several years of trial and error we finally found streaming technology that actually delivers on its promise.  Libre’s encloudHD streaming solution delivers razor sharp images allowing us to see procedures in close-up detail and understand how these new techniques work. No other technology has ever had such positive and instructive impact on our audience.” Dr. Eysselein went on to say, “The future of medical learning will once again be on display. Libre’s incredible live high definition video delivery system has changed how medicine is taught around the world. We have evolved from instructional demonstrations being confined to the operating room to being able to educate on a global level. The importance of this advancement to the future of medical education cannot be overstated”

Additionally, Libre’s encloudHD live streaming technology has been certified as meeting the exceptionally strict security requirements necessary to broadcast live medical procedures from The California Pacific Medical Center over the internet.

encloudHD provided sufficient security to ensure patient privacy. Further, encloudHD’s demonstrated ability to reliably deliver these broadcasts with sufficient HD resolution to make these close-up demonstrations effective, make for a powerful leap forward in medical distance learning.

The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA Live Broadcasts New Endoscopy Procedure Using encloudHD

Professional Grade Live Streaming Made Simple.

Los Angeles, CA – 08 Dec 2014 – UCLA – Ronald Reagan, one of the United States premier medical schools, showcases new endoscopic procedure to viewers in Israel, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, India and across America.

There were no AV or network experts on site; the simplicity of the zero-configuration encloudHD appliance empowered medical professionals to showcase their procedures locally and abroad.  The broadcast was a complete success with no buffering and perfect unbroken delivery of HD video for over 4 hours.

Dr. V. Raman Muthusamy stated, “We found the Libre encloudHD system fairly easy to use and allowed us to broadcast our course securely over the internet to select viewers that we had invited.  It provided a nice solution to a problem we had and enabled us to achieve a goal we have had for the past several years.  The ease of initial set up was impressive and from what my colleagues who conduct similar courses nationwide tell me, the quality of the broadcast was very good given the limitations that we had only an SD output at UCLA for you to broadcast.  The representatives from Covidien were very impressed as well, and some of their senior management team caught the course live from as far away as Israel!  The fact that the live video stream was secure and continuous over a four-hour period and allowed us to broadcast both lectures and procedures really impressed our technical and medical staff as well.”

UCLA Biomedical Research Institute Certifies and Approves encloudHDfor Medical Streaming

Professional Grade Live Streaming Made Simple.

VANCOUVER, BC / Los Angeles, CA – Nov. 13, 2012 – LA BioMed, at Harbor-UCLA, Biomedical Research Institute Certifies Vancouver’s Libre Communications as Approved Streaming Media Solution.

Libre Communications, which develops and sells the encloudHD encoding and streaming solution, has been selected as an approved vendor by one of the largest and most renowned medical research institutes in the world.
According to Viktor Eysselien MD, Chief, Division Gastroenterology, “After determining that high resolution, absolute security and broadcast reliability were “mission critical”, we chose Libre’s encloudHD solution as our preferred internet streaming partner. Their solution is simple to operate, delivers exceptional results and just plain works!”
LA BioMed is a research and teaching affiliate of the California University system. It is actively involved in teaching about one-half of UCLA’s medical students and conducting extensive worldwide collaborative research. The institute has an annual budget of over $73 million and supports more than 140 investigators conducting over 1,000 research studies in areas such as emerging infections, cancer, women’s health, male reproductive health, vaccine research, neonatology, autoimmune diseases, cardiology, neurosurgery, and genetics.
Libre provides a complete “end-to-end”, high definition internet broadcasting experience to the education, healthcare and corporate clients. Its encloudHD encoding boxes enable from one to many cameras to be attached at remote locations and then streamed live globally, via its cloud-based network. The ability to secure every stream, present Pay-Per-View, course-based content or the highest quality of demonstration within the medical community was a major factor in LA BioMed’s decision.

“It is important for us to utilize Libre’s technology in order to lead the way in our international collaboration with medical research organizations and the many students at our locations and in partner organizations”, explained Dr.Eysselien.“We would like to stream events, courses and research presentations securely and economically and encloudHD provides a perfect platform.”

“Libre more than met our standards. Libre’s encloudHD system’s ease of use, absolute reliability and exceptional security will allow every department to feel comfortable with setting up and managing live and on-demand content. This forms a major step forward in our ability to share our work and educate a rapidly expanding international, and local, network of students.”

Phil Nerland, Libre’s CEO, sees this relationship as a milestone in the company’s growth. “We recently streamed Hull University’s (in the UK) three-day International Sustainability conference and are now excited to start working with LA BioMed. encloudHD is a leap-forward in both streaming and viewing events and other video streaming applications. We are experiencing a rapid uptake and thank LA BioMed for their commitment.”
