encloudHD powers VERSO Event to Global Reach
Professional Grade Live Streaming Made Simple.
VANCOUVER, BC / HULL, UK – Dec. 13, 2012 -Libre Communications is very proud that the East Riding Council chose its encloudHD advanced live streaming technology to broadcast their very timely and impactful event on November 22, 2012.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is one of eight local authorities and four research institutions across Europe chosen to take part in VERSO (Volunteers for European Development), a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the INTERREG IVC program. The idea of VERSO is to find new and innovative approaches to help get people into employment through voluntary work.
Last week’s conference was attended by delegates from the council’s partner organizations across Europe, and countless more followed encloudHD’s live, high definition webcast from the event. Those tuning in online were able to ask questions in real time via Twitter.
Claire Watts, External Funding and Policy Manager for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The conference was a huge success as it provided an opportunity for us to share our knowledge and ideas about what can be done to encourage more people to volunteer”. Libre’s encloudHD live streaming platform allowed the Council to expand its reach from local to global. The success stories of real people, delivered with the impact and global reach that can only be achieved via live internet broadcast, allowing local councils to properly communicate the benefits of volunteering for the individual and the economy.
Phil Nerland, CEO of Libre, went on to say that he was “pleased East Riding was successfully able to deploy encloudHD’s High Definition streaming technology to support such a worthy cause. Our advanced, low cost, high quality technology was a perfect fit for their needs and hopefully had a positive social impact on the citizenry of area.”
